February 25, 2010:

We had a successful last night of training at Aikido of Solano on Alder Road.  It was a great turnout of students and on lookers as we closed the Dojo with the last training at this location.  Joe Le was presented with his Shodan certificate from Japan at the end of the training class (he took his exam at Aikido of Solano on November 7, 2009.)  Everyone celebrated and congratulated him with a job well done night.

Since then, we have moved the mats, along with everything else, to the new location in anticipation of our new beginning at 502-A Parker Road, Fairfield.  (Remember, it is at the end of Parker Road and right next to Travis AFB.)  Everyone is looking forward to the Grand Opening.  There will be a short down time for cleaning and preparation for the new space.

Training and Sign-ups began on April 5, 2010

We left the old location in Suisun because they are planning to demolish the shopping center buildings in the near future.  This would include the space we have occupied for the last 3 1/2 years.  We canvassed for a long time for a new location to move to and know we've finally found it.

There is plenty of spacious parking and a lot of bright windows.  Thereis plenty room for a big advertising sign along with just being a great building.  Please pass the word to anyone who would be interested in training with us at Aikido of Solano.

Our transition time has been spent cleaning, painting, preparing the new Dojo for our upcoming training and Grand Opening (which will be announced soon).

Thanks to all of you who have already helped with the moving of mats, etc., to the Parker Road location.  We really appreciate each and everyone of you, but will still appreciate anyone who can donate time getting this project done so we can train.

Congratulations Joe on your Shodan Exam!!
